Floppy Days Podcast - call for memories/thoughts
For the upcoming ZX Spectrum series of episodes of the Floppy Days Podcast (floppydays.com) I would like to include a few audio clips from people who used the machine back in the day, what it means (meant) to them, and any other thoughts about the machine. Just looking for a 3-5 minute audio clip an...

Floppy Days Podcast - call for co-host(s)
Hi, guys. I'm doing an upcoming series of episodes on the Floppy Days Podcast (floppydays.com) on the ZX Spectrum. First up will be a couple of shows on the history of the machine (including an interview with John Grant of Nine Tiles). I need volunteers to co-host the other episodes, covering such t...

Re: ZXpand+ video interference
Wow lots of things to try! I will test all the recommended things and configurations here and get back with the group. I do not have a composite mod on this TS1000. I’m using the TV RF and the interference shows up immediately. Also I’m using the power supply that came with the TS1000. Thanks! Randy

ZXpand+ video interference
Hi, I'm pretty new to the TS1000. I have a ZX-keyboard and ZXpand+ attached. With just the TS1000 and no upgrades, or with the ZX-Keyboard attached, the video is ok. However, with the ZXpand+ installed I get what looks like interference (dark bands). Is that normal? It's not severe and I can still s...

ZX Spectrum 128K +2A video
Hi, I just recently got the 128K +2A and got the RGB to SCART cable from RetroShack, which I then upscale to HDMI (I'm in the US). The video works but it seems to have a lot of noise in it. I expected a really clean, crisp output. Is this normal for the Spectrum or is there likely something wrong? t...

Re: New Episode of Floppy Days Podcast - Interview with John Grant
Andy, I apologize for not doing your work on a replacement ULA for the ZX81 justice. As you'll see on the next episode where we cover modern upgrades, we didn't cover it hardly at all.
Can you send me a 1-minute audio segment on it, and I'd be happy to include it.
thanks!

Thanks, Andy!
I don't think I gave your work enough credit. I'll try to get it added in before publication.

Thank you all of you for the great information!
I will be discussing these upgrades in an upcoming episode of the Floppy Days Podcast around the end of July. This information was most helpful.
