Re: Gold Fish Zeddy

I changed the caps and added a heatsink to the ULA
It now seems to be operating without the screen artifacts :D

I'll swap the 7805 for a switch mode unit so I can stop burning myself on the glowing heatsink.
Then I can give it a soak test.

Thanks for the pointers :D :D

Re: Gold Fish Zeddy

I've just re-soldered all joints on the underside. No change to the random screen bits flashing.
Now I'm about to change the 2 electrolytic caps

Re: Gold Fish Zeddy

Hi
When you say the program was not retained....
It executes immediately, as though there was no line number entered

Gold Fish Zeddy

Right... As I mentioned earlier, I dug my shiny Issue 1 zeddy out and set it up with an old telly. I was having a frustrating time tuning it in so I did a quick trawl and found the transistor - resistor composite mod. Almost identical mod to the speccy one so I carried it out and hey presto a half d...

Cheers Fellas

I got my Issue 1 zeddy out from under the barn door last night... I think I may have broke it

I'll start a new thread later with pics etc

Hi Everyone

Hi all :D

Another retroputer collector joins the fold.
I've been collecting 8-bit machines on and off for about 20years.
Mostly Acorn but I am fond of Zeddys n Speccys.

Kind Regards
Marcus
