Re: ZX80 Gerber files
The two diodes, D1 and D2 and the PCB "bar" track were apparently provided to connect to a shield to protect the circuitry on the board, or maybe to protect the user... There are/were a number of television video systems around the world, some use positive sync signals and some use negative sync si...

Re: Issue 1 vs Issue 2 ZX80 case
It does look good! Did you get the file from Shapeways? I looked there but didn't see a way to download it. :? Hi Mark, No, they were posted on the German forum. http://forum.tlienhard.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=672&start=100 Links are somewhere in the middle. Also for the ZX80 enclosure. But u...

Re: ZX80 Gerber files

And still not quite happy with the key pad footprint. Will redraw that too I think. Below some renderings of the top and the bo...

Re: ZX80 Gerber files
Tedious work, but getting there... Vectorised bitmaps of the original ZX80 PCB and used that as an overlay to verify my netlist. So far so good...

I will let you know what is in the package when it arrives. Watch this space... :-) *edit And according to the description it...

Re: Issue 1 vs Issue 2 ZX80 case
Speaking of cases, I managed to print the case for a 1-3K RAM PACK. I think the design was made by Markus Brenner. You can order the case via Shapeways. But I gave it a go on my FDM 3D printer and it came out reasonably. Needs a bit of sanding around the screw holes because of the support material t...

Hi! From the Netherlands...
Hi All! Just realised that this forum has been here quite a while. Sorry... I did post a few comments recently without letting you know who I am. For those interested, I am an electronic engineer. And quite a nerd (which is a good thing nowadays...). Anyway, I dug up my collection of ZX/QL machines ...
