Yesss.... Got the boards today! Looking good so far. Although I made the slot in the edge connector a bit too wide. Will fix that in the next version. Still have to draw the top silk screen anyway. Time to assemble!

Re: My beat-up ZX80
Wow, when talking about case modding... This is the one! Good to hear that you've got the K cursor back up!
The computer has "Computer has some marks, scratches, discolouration, cracked, damaged and missing plastic". LOL
Love to see it getting back to life! Keep us informed!

Re: Another ZX80 Rescue
Does anyone fancy the challenge of bringing this one back to life ? :D Wouldn't mind giving it a try. Unless someone else with more experience wants to give it a try. I have the tools and equipment. And all the parts needed to build one from scratch. Had to buy these anyway as my ZX80 PCB should ar...

Re: ZX80 RAM PACK DIY clone
Ooh, an offer of more hardware goodness. I need a partner for this... :D So, yes, I would be very interested ;) Mark Oooh... That one looks beaten up. Is it still working though? And a weird heatsink indeed. Guess it won't hurt. Mine is running quite warm. Just checked the PCB manufacturer and if I...

Re: ZX80 RAM PACK DIY clone
@Charlie He said where's my sodding MIDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus on looks alone I'd buy that little bugger! :D I also think the rivets are the same as the case after visiting this site where Markus Brenner's name is mentioned.... https://fjkraan.home.xs4all.nl/comp/zx80/rampack.html MIDI will be added...

ZX80 RAM PACK DIY clone
Finished soldering my DIY RAM PACK clone today. But first, many thanks to Markus Brenner who made both the gerberfiles and 3D model of the enclosure. I had started to draw the PCB myself, based on schematics and pictures I found on the web, but Markus was kind enough to send the complete gerber set ...

Re: ZX80 treatment with RetrObright
Looking good! :D The "burn" marks are not actually burn marks as such but are usually the result of leads such as the cassette ear/mic lead or the power pack lead being draped across the case, which for some reason causes a reaction with the case plastic over time especially the issue one styrene v...
