Welp I'm STILL waiting for the buttons to come in. The composite mod worked perfectly! Still looking around for the right power regulator though

Could the zx81 display to a Character LCD?

Think I could buy some of those chips off you guys. or directly to exactly what I need.

The ZX runs at 5v right? why not just... mod it to take USB? since well! USB runs at 5v

Can anyone here burn new chips for ZX81's and TS1000's Might be nice to replace the chips with fresh ones.


Also the heat sink for that voltage regular gets really b*tchin' hot isn't there a fix for that as well

Wait a minute. apparently there was a coil connecting to ground... I have video now! woo on the B&W CRT as well as my modern flat screen

I get an incredibly broken picture on my modern tv and no image on any of the crts I've tried

anyone have a spare TS1000 for sale in case I totally screw mine up?


What are some other peripherals for the ZX81 and TS1000. I saw a little printer going for a ridiculous amount on ebay.

There was a transistor involved and was grounded. Like I've said this isn't going to be perfect.


Can the TS-1000 turn on without a keyboard?
