Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
I collected the FD42 yesterday, I've not had chance to look into it yet but I can see that the board is in the standard layout rather than the 90 degree. I'll take it apart tomorrow and see what's inside of course along with taking some photos :) It's a bit dirty and the previous owner has written s...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
The caps do come off but are well fixed on so be very careful as there is virtually no gap between the keys unlike the M'Tech and it's very easy to bend/break the key stem underneath if the cap isn't levered off equally. Thanks Moggy, I think I'll try cleaning the keyboard without removing the caps...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Well, I've managed to find and buy an FD42 tonight, I'm not sure which version it is until I collect it midweek. I hope it's the 90 degree layout version but either way I'll be happy if it's working. Is it straight forward to strip the keyboard down for cleaning? Is it possible to pull the keycaps o...

Yes, they should be around £10-£12 or so.

Re: New ZX81 16K SRAM modules available soon from ZX ZIGG
Is there a version for the boards with the single 0.6" socket for the RAM? None of my zeddies have 2 sockets. Or any sockets for that matter. All my chips are soldered in. :( I suppose if I'm desoldering the RAM chip anyway then it wouldn't be that much more hassle to empty out the filled-in pads. ...

New ZX81 16K SRAM modules available soon from ZX ZIGG
Hi all, Along with a good friend of mine I've been speaking with Alastair at ZX ZIGG the past few months about making an internal 16k SRAM module available for the ZX81. I wasn't keen on cutting tracks on the boards to install 16k internally with the methods that I'd read others performing so I spok...

Re: Refurbing an issue one zeddy
There is a forthcoming 16K SRAM module without the need to cut tracks on the board. I'll post some info in a new thread shortly.

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
The 90 degree layout with everything contained internally is brilliant. I hope I can find one for sale.

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Thanks for that Moggy, it sounds well worth owning one. I'll definately look out for another one coming up for sale. I knew I would regret not getting that one the other day ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Hi all, I was recently close to buying a Fuller FD42 Keyboard/enclosure but I changed my mind in the end as it was a 2 hours round trip to collect it. I don't know anything about the FD42 in use however having only ever seen photos of them. I guess it won't be up to the full mechanical feel of the m...
