ZXpand+ Pre-Orders

I see that SirMorris has listed some ZXpand+ units on sellmyretro.com on a pre-order basis. A quick word from SirMorris: Starting a new run of boards is expensive. There is a large initial outlay to get PCBs and components ready. I am using the pre-order mechanism to help with this up-front cost. I ...

Re: Mostly working ZX80

It is probably more a case that the TV cannot pick up the signal from the ZX80 (as it lacks a back porch signal). The options are to fit a ZXVid or ZX8-CCB - you can find both options on www.sellmyretro.com :D However, I would recommend that you wait for advise to actually ensure that the ZX80 is wo...

ZX81 - Free to a Good Home

I have been contacted by someone clearing out their brother's stuff. They have a ZX81 in a partial box - no PSU or manual. It is in the UK and free to a good home. If anyone wants it (for the cost of postage), please reply here and I will pm you the person's email address so that you can arrange to ...

Re: ZX Spectrum+ 128K Toastrack Repair

Certainly try and see if it does the same without the keyboard - check for debris in the keyboard connectors too - I wonder if it thinks a key is stuck down?

Re: ZX Spectrum+ 128K Toastrack Repair

I initially thought it was the keyboard (I can see it's a replacement keyboard) but the black or pink border around the start up screen is perplexing (almost as though it is trying to load something).. The one thing I did notice is that the PSU is an original Speccy one (UK 1400) - the Spectrum+128 ...

Re: Spectrum Sabre Wulf microdrive

I seem to recall that someone was making these (and other microdrive versions of Speccy games) and selling them on ebay some years ago.

Yet another one for on the ZX81 membrane keyboard. Bought in Utrecht in 1984. I don't know who made it.
That is a Filesixty keyboard - basically a rubber mat similar to the original Spectrum which sticks on top of the original ZX81 membrane.

Re: [NEW ZX81 GAME IN DEVLOPMENT] - Mage: The Enchanted Crystals

Unfortunately, there is no option since the EU (and various other countries around the world) have brought in tax on digital items. The main issue is that the EU and one or two other countries did not use a minimum threshold, so as soon as someone sells something digitally for €1 they have to work o...
