Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB

This prompted me to dust off my ZXBlast which was still at firmware rev. 0.9 :D

PokeMon - may I PM you about the procedure to update the USB controller manually? The Zeddy I was using to update the controller with ZXMUPD21.rom wasn't the most stable as it turns out...

Re: ZX80 CORE ROM

If it helps get you up and running, here's the ROM image from my ZX80Core.

ZX80 ROMs work on positions 4 and 5 of the ROM selector switch, and ZX81 ROMs are available on 2 and 6.

I've no idea of what other content is in there, it's getting on for 7 years since I built it :D

Nice to see you too Moggy, I dip my toe in now and again :)

Re: ZX81 ROMs 3 types?

Heh, I considered myself fairly well informed about all things Sinclair and I didn't have a clue about the intermediate ROM! It seems uncommon rather than rare though, out of 14 Zeddys I own, 3 of them have the 622 version. If we're talking dates, then on my machines they occur on machines with a UL...

Re: Heat sink on Spectrum ULA - is there any benefit?

The only ULA's I would definitely either put a heatsink on, or limit their use, are the 6C001E-6 ones. I've come across a fair amount of these being faulty, and they've become colloquially known as 'suicide ULA's' by others too. Thanks. Which motherboard version do these tend to reside in? Issue 3 ...

Re: ZX Printer Belts - Available Now (sort of)

This is a most welcome development, and always good to have multiple sources on replacement parts.

I foresee a run on the old silver bogroll though :D

Re: zx spectrum 128K +2 (grey, issue 1) rgb problem

Must be broken, looks from the product description that it should do the job.

Just to check, are the probes plugged into the correct sockets (middle and bottom for voltage measurements)?
