Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB

Hi The video timing could be slightly different when ZXblast config/or load function active. This should not result in problems but CRT TVs accept looser timings than some LCD TVs with special chipsets. I will check that out. I have no idea what you mean with blinking. Could you post a small video c...

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB

Hi Another question. I test zxblast with a zx81 and a TS1000 without modifications. It works well with both machines using CRT tv an a small LCD tv But Boring about video quality, I made simple composite video mod ( bc548 transistor ) to my zx81. With CRT tv, now I have what I want but with a small ...

Re: ZXblast - ZX81 memory extension plus USB

Hi Mine has come today :-) I solder it without problems (thanks for send it with smd chip soldered) . In my case, like I think i'll never put another interface, I've used a old zx spectrum connector with long pins ( to avoid space problem within zx81 and zxblast). zx81 with zxblast starts at first t...

Re: LARKEN UTILS

Hi I have seen the schematic in Eagle format which you have recommended, and I found some differences: R9 is shown in the schematic as 1Kohm, in the photo is 470ohm. R17 shown in the schematic as 468, in the photo is 470ohm. Thanks :-) I just change this little errors. I update schemes and board fil...

Re: LARKEN UTILS

Hi Original PCB has some wires across all pcb and some chips over other chips. If you take the eagle files for the "most original" PCB, you will have to make those wires and put chips like original PCB. I also include a "alternative" PCB with a reroute (no wires) and without chips over other chips. ...

Re: LARKEN UTILS

Hi

I have a working larken disk interface for TS1000 / zx81. It was a present from superfo :-)

I have a article about it ( sorry, in spanish)

http://hardware.speccy.org/temp/zx81-larken.html

As you can see, zx81 is smaller that 5 1/4" driver XD XD XD

bye

Re: Harlequin video modifications

Hi My name is José Leandro and I helped superfo with the develop of the first versions ( a-e) of the Harlequin clone. First: I would to say sorry because English isn't my first language and I don't have enough level to have a fluent convertation Also because I'm direct person and not very polite. I ...

Re: no video output on ts 1000

Hi

Check TR2 transistor. If it doesn't work, the ts100 / zx81 has not clock and it shows a black/grey screen without cursor.

Re: Transfer zx81 <> PC

Hi Ok, just read the French page. God was that a long time ago that I took French at school. But it's still better than my Latin ;) Anyway. A modified gal for zxpand will do the g Job. Permanently map the 32k of zxpand to 16-48k disregarding the config setting. For test purpose it's enough to config...
