and i think that supplier above is where i got some mps2369s from..havent tried them yet..something about the type number printing doesnt look quite right, though..... maybe something else relabelled?!!

that fuller with the extension, and, yes, rampack is mine if you'd like the dimensions of the extender board, give me a few days to dig it out (part of my 'round to it' pile) and measure things

hmm, unliklely to be membrane as it sounds like its responding correctly but not 'printing' correct characters, 'could' certainly be duff ula (aarrgghh), but maybe strange rom or ram fault...

its usually when saving you dont want to have both leads connected? never known of a cassette recorder to take input on its mic socket when playing, but some certainly feed the mic input back out the ear socket when recording..??
