New ZX81 Games
Re: New ZX81 Games
Absolutely fantastic Johan,and I still cannot believe this is 1k!
Re: New ZX81 Games
When I made my previouse post I'd only tried this with eighty one
When using MK1 Zxpand it would not run giving error#9 (hardware fault)
It will run on MK3 xpand and the Xpand+ prototype but the display is slighty corrupt.
This ZX81 was using UHF output, when using composite output the top line does not bend to the left but the other glitch is still there.

Re: New ZX81 Games
Thanks,
The game was untested on real hardware.
I will make a fix, not too hard, but need to find a few bytes. I have a few already.

Game info
Calculus Mazximus
Based on the gameshow "Cijfers en Letters" (COUNTDOWN in UK, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfa3MHLLSWI)
I coded the numbersgame.
After loading and pressing NewLine you will have 5 seconds to write down the numbers.
After 5 seconds the GOAL-number is shown.
To make a valid result you may use each number 1 time or not at all.
Multiply, add, divide or subtract numbers to reach as close as possible.
After 20 seconds the operands are shown. This indicates that the time is up
and you need to enter your result.
You enter your result by selecting the 2 numbers and the operand.
Numbers have positions 1 to 6 and the operands are:
7 = division
8 = multiply
9 = subtract
0 = addition
The "<" and ">" are operands used by the computer.
These operands will show you which numbers are not used by the computer.
The result of the calculation is stored in the second chosen position.
When you have reached your result press NewLine to see the computer's result.
When you made a mistake you can start over with Q.
When an invalid calculation is done (division zero, remainder, subtraction below zero) the input starts over too.
When your result is more than 1000 the number is shown with a leading letter.
You can still use the number.
The result of the computer is shown after the first sum.
Your result is the final number on the line.
Press Newline untill the sum reaches the computerresult.
See who did better, did you beat the computer (it is possible!)?
The next time you press Newline will start a new game
