ULA wanted
Hi.
I'm looking to replace my 2C184 ULA with the 2C210 version. If you happen to have one for sale, please PM me.
Thanks!

Ah thanks. Expensive! Is that the going rate for these chips? One can get a used Zeddy for less.

Re: ULA wanted
They are a tad expensive.
Mutant Caterpillar Games had some for sale a while back at £30 each I think. No idea if they still have any now.

Re: ULA wanted
Still hoping to eventually get my hands on a ULA replacement board. They are either out of stock or the vendor does not ship to the US...

Re: ULA wanted
It seems only the vretro site has them in stock. $51 including shipping. That's more like it.
One question: can this be used with the simple transistor/resistor mod to output composite video?

Re: ULA wanted
It can be used with it.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

The vLA81 produces a great composite picture by default I think?

"Video level selectable between standard video (suitable for direct connection to a 75 ohm monitor input) and high sync level (suitable for the modulator input or some video mod boards)." My understanding is that the first option allows to bypass the modulator and plug directly into the RF input of a TV.Lardo Boffin wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 9:52 am The vLA81 produces a great composite picture by default I think?
