ZX Printer Belts - Available Now (sort of)

Post by RWAP »

I see that Ian Gledhill (Mutant Caterpillar) now has some ZX Printer belts and is offering a refurbished ZX Printer, complete with new belt on SellMyRetro:

https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/detai ... ntee-28465

Ian had invested quite a bit of time and money in getting new ZX Printer belts when Djordje announced his kickstarter to try and get some made in China; so these are an independent replacement.

Because Ian does not see how he could compete with Djordje's planned prices for just the belt, he is offering both refurbished ZX Printers, and a refurbishment service for those who want a new belt and full servicing of their ZX Printer.

At least this is good progress. :D

I do like the comment on this photo :lol:

Well done Ian :D

Having taken a ZX Printer apart (one that was already faulty), I seem to remember it looked rather tricky to put together again (not that I tried mind).

Kudos to Ian for keeping the old flash bangs going and an even bigger tip of the hat for offering a years warranty on something that never lasted that long without giving up the ghost back then.(tongue firmly in cheek and all that :lol: )

@Mark.

Yeah I have seven of the buggers all in bits,they are a nightmare to reassemble trust me. :lol:

This is a most welcome development, and always good to have multiple sources on replacement parts.

I foresee a run on the old silver bogroll though :D

He ran it through the facebook group - not a kickstarter platform.
