ZX81 internal screws

Post by Lardo Boffin »

Hi all

I have just bought a nice issue one zeddy but it is missing its internal screws to hold the pcb in place and also one of the external screws - the middle one near the edge connector.

Does anyone know what the spec of these is or if anyone sells them?

Many thanks!

Lardo

I replace missing or defective screws by those, which are used in my garden railway:

Here is a set of similar screws, where you can get the dimensions of the screws from:

Ooh! I need some of these screws as well - unfortunately I only speak English (just). What are the correct sizes for these motherboard screws please?

Thanks

The srews (described in the last link) with diameter 2,2 mm can be used inside and outside (housing) of the Zeddy:
M2,2x 6,5
M2,2x 9,5

I don't know, what size (in milli-Inch or nano-Foot ;) ) they have in the English speaking part of the universe ;)

We have the metric system but still like pounds, shillings and pence!

The sizes are great thanks.

I assume that the M2.2x6.5 can be used to screw the motherboard to the inside of the case?

Err, we have metric, plus various imperial sizes. For both coarse thread screws and for fine pitched machine screws / bolts.
