It's definitely going to get built. Whether I am brave enough remains to be seen - I will decide after reading the instructions a few times. On the plus side I have a number of working examples to cross reference! Although they all have subtle differences...

I don't have any of the computers I had back in the day so building this one knowing it has never been used will feel a bit like buying one from new in a weird kind of way. It will be MY computer - not a second hand one that I bought off some random on eBay. Although I am very grateful to various randoms!

Plus it is VERY shiny! I have seen quite a few zeddy motherboards now and this is far and away the nicest condition. :D

Well, I haven’t posted a zeddy in here for a while so here’s one!

Another lovely condition issue three. It’s in such a nice box and general condition that I think I might keep this one mostly original and just zx8-ccb it. It even comes with the original till receipt and accompanying guarantee from John Menzies (the till receipt number matches on the receipt card) - very nice collectible one this!

Check out the logo - this one can’t have been out of its box much!

The ROM chip looks a bit different from normal too.

Is the M for Motorola?

I was going to put 16k of RAM in this one before rehoming it but don’t want to destroy the chip! Call me a sentimental old fool!
