Why kickstarter? As if fundings are needed to start coding a ZX81 game.

For hardware I can think of such, but software?

Hi
I need hours to create the game. the necessary hours are taken away from my work.

I wish you the best of luck with this, but I don’t think Kickstarter is the way to do it, especially as you won’t see any of the money unless it is completely funded. None of my ZX81 games has made the amount you are asking for, and I never manage to cover the cost of development. If you are after profiting from writing games then the ZX81 isn’t the place to be.

Much better to finish writing the game and then ask for voluntary donations to download it (via itch.io for example) and/or releasing a physical version of it on cassette (via Cronosoft for example)

Imagine the time I have spend coding over 100 games for the ZX81 in the last 11 years.
All released to give the ZX81 community new games to keep it alive.

I agree about it being appreciated! I've bought software both online and physical so I'd have no problem paying for new software if it was published, just as a thank you rather than under any impression there's an industry beihind it!

That depends on what you define as best
1) most downloaded
2) most time needed to code
3) most action in amount of memory

I myself think that my best game is THE EDGE, a 1K hires cardgame like PATIENCE.
Due to the fact that it has hires cards on the display, making the display was hard enough,
but adding all the rules and counting in the game was a hell of a job to do and almost impossible.

So this is my own personal opinion, but someone else might go for 2PAXMAN or LODE RUNNER or any sportsim in 1K hires.
