Another issue:
The game Sea Mines requires you to type in a POKE and then NEW before LOADing the game on a real ZX81, but this doesn't work on the iOS emulator on iPhone since it seems to overwrite the setting for reserved memory over RAMTOP. Setting memory before loading did also not work; probably since it uses some quarter of a KiB and you can only set memory to integer KiB, and also you maybe cannot use the memory above RAMTOP.
POKE 16389,103
NEW
(That would correspond to 9.75 KiB RAM, but then it uses the RAM above that up to 16 KiB.)
The problem when you cannot set RAMTOP is that Sea Mines doesn't work fully, i.e. there are no mines.
The p-file for the game Sea Mines is here:

The article with the game and the errata is here:

Someone else also entered SeaMines, but that is a hacked version:
https://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtop ... 079#p48079
It has the same problem with the results of POKE and NEW being overwritten when loading the p-file.
Note that Sea Mines only works with some official ZX81 ROMs and not with e.g. x2 (Big Bang).
I had an idea that you could hack the p file to be able to lower the RAMTOP without using NEW:
