I guess happy bird carving to those in the U.S.!
I was surprised to find they all have white feathers in the coops for turkeys raised for the market.
What are other holidays that other users celebrate in Europe?

Recent events are:-
(Not holidays unless stated)
- Hallowe'en - 31st October. Although it is not as big here compared to North America. Fairly low key in my town. Very much overshadowed by the Guy Fawkes events.
- Guy Fawkes Night (also known as Bonfire Night, Firework Night), 5th November. See what Wikipedia has to say here. I like fireworks, and there are some great displays but it is a bit annoying these days when they are being let off for ten or so days either side of November 5th.
- Guy Fawkes Illuminated Carnival (different evenings for various towns and villages in Somerset, for my town, it took place on Friday 10th of November). Wikipedia link. North Somerset Carnival, http://www.somersetcarnivals.co.uk, https://www.bridgwatercarnival.org.uk
- Remembrance Day - 11th November
Future events:-

Erntedankfest may be similar to Thanksgiving but in fact this "holiday" is on a sunday and is not that important to most people like it is celebrated in USA.
