Z80 inside high res test P file

Post by msknight »

I'm looking for the "z80 inside" p file to test high res graphics, as a short file that will load on a 1K zeddy, but for obvious reasons, using that as a search term results in a considerable number of hits!

Could anyone point me to which file this is please?

Do you mean the demo?

Try searching for ZX81 demo 25thanni

Although the 25thanni demo needs 16K bytes of RAM.

For 1K, try "ZX81 demo 1K"

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

As Mark says it needs 16k but here it is for future use. :D

Also if using the spand, its overlay ROM has to be switched out when run other wise some of the graphics look corrupted.

Thanks! I wasn't aware it needed 16k. I was looking for something that would work in 1K so I could test things quickly from, "tape," without needing to wait a few minutes between tests :-) ... ie. check the zeddy was OK before I do any mods.

Thanks for all the pointers.

I can't get it to do anything in Eighty One or SZ-81, is this for real zeddy only?

I believe it is for hardware only, because of the way that high res accesses memory.
