Re: ZX-Term*80
Information could also be found on Fred Nachbaur's site (including documentation):

Several years ago I patched this program to work with the SIO of my web-server (instead of using a 8251 UART chip). Terminal mode worked well, but the XMODEM filetransfer did not work ...

Re: ZX-Term*80
Siggi and somebody else,
How do you work around this kind of the problem? Can you share a program patch or a program with us?
For a historical interest of the original document for this certain program, I will upload the file here. There are some detailed information that Fred N.'s web document file clearly doesn't explain ("fractioned document").

Re: ZX-Term*80
Here Wilf describes an 8251-Uart hardware, which could be used by the ZX-Term*80 program:

If your browser does not show the schema correctly: set manually the "text coding" to "western". Then you will get this picture:

Re: ZX-Term*80
Siggi,
Thanks, I will build this exact circuit very soon. It certainly will be on a breadboard. I have an AMP connector bearing 5650945-5 1103. I am waiting on a crystal.
I also have and build an AWC RS-I/II Serial Interface Adapter. It is a RS232 module kit with its MAX232 chip installed. Check their website. http://www.awce.com/rs1.htm
As for the ZX-Term*80, this program originally was on a tape cassette. I transferred the program to a disk as a ZXT80.P.

Re: ZX-Term*80
I counted the pages of the copy of the original book. The book has 51 pages which includes its front cover. I need to go to a FedEx Office to use their auto-feeding scanner. 300 dpi. Expect a pretty large file coming from the certain book! WOW! Better use a PM instead of depositing the file here.
Thank you very much.

Re: ZX-Term*80
The simplest way, is to upload the file to a file hosting site (Google Drive, Mega, DropBox or similar) then post a link to it here.
More info on file sharing sites here.

Converting to 2bit B&W gif image will greatly reduce the size usually without compromiseing legibility.

Here is the document file which I promised Siggi to upload it here! The original document was printed on a North American paper size which is 8 1/2 in. x 11 in. Or 21.5 cm x 27.9 cm to the rest of the world. However, it's already scanned into the .PDF format.
