Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
I've started to vector trace the extension PCB photo now in Illustrator. I'm not able to see the connector under the 16K expansion that's plugged into it in the photo but once I have the accurate measurements I can try a first test print out to see how well everything lines up inside the case.

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
The case and keyboard cleaned up well :) I just need the expansion port extension now. I'm not sure whether to remove the sticker or glue it back down where it's lifted. Fuller_FD42_2.png Fuller_FD42_1.png Here's a couple of photos of the back/side of the case where you can see that the ports are th...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Thanks Mark, that's helpful to see for reference. I'm not sure how to tackle the vertical internal edge connector, if that could be made as a separate part to attach to the main extension board manually I could then get a simple PCB manufactured. I'll start working on the layout in illustrator tonig...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Hi Mark, that certainly sounds like the same design. It shouldn't be too difficult to reproduce at home aside from the two edge connectors. Perhaps the easiest way would be to have a one off PCB prototype professionally made. I've cut out the part of the photo with the Fuller extension showing, I su...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
I started carefully cleaning the keys tonight simply with water and bathroom cleaning products, happily it does just seem to be a regular felt pen used to write on the keys so they are all cleaning off easily. I was looking at the photos of the expansion port extension that Fuller supplied with the ...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
That reminds me of working in the printing industry in the 80s... Acetone was used to clean the ink from the offset printers and after a long day one of the guys asked if I wouldn't mind quickly cleaning the artwork dept where I worked and I accidentally used a rag with acetone whilst cleaning an ex...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Nice K/B Tezz. It seems the previous owner has left the tiny stickers off that go on the ridge at the front of the keys and just used felt tip pen. :( Oddly enough they're missing on mine too! Hopefully it won't turn out to be permanent marker and I can clean them off :) I think I might have a go a...

Re: Fuller FD42 Keyboard
Here's the photos of the Fuller FD42 that I bought. There's not much to see, just simply an issue one board inside the dusty case with an LED added. The keyboard seems to be in good condition or at least it will be after a good clean, I've not yet powered on although I'm intending to use a nice issu...
